Excuse the familiarity but finally wished to say a big cheerio and
thank you from the gold town you turned into a great anthem.
Thanks also for the distinctive sound for the 80s-90s Australian
live shows.
I have lived in the ‘suburbs’ of Kal for 25 years - Esperance in the
south to the great Victoria Desert – an exploration geologist with
pick and 12 string
Ends up in some places, alright…Now in Laminton, North Kal, the 33
rpm players of VspyVspy spin around on the Shed Marantz most Sunday
arvos – the old timers next door
Don’t mind at all if I throw in a a couple of Shadows and Gordon
Lightfoot songs….
Regards the great song ‘The Golden Mile’, I actually wrote my own
angle on mid 1980’s remote Kal on the Ibannez 12 –
it is on my album ‘Fireside Stadium’ (which has just gone Magnesium
as I have sold/given away 10 copies…)
Enough mind wandering – Thanks for the music – and possibly hope to
see you all again one day in the Golden West – where the pennies
still rise with the Sun….

I still have vivid memories of seeing a video of 'Injustice' back in
1985 or so.
I rushed out to buy the 7" single. I also purchased the EP 12" Meet
Us Inside.
Over the next 5 or so years I was fortunate enough to see the band
'live' at The Central Club in Richmond a number of times.
The best show I ever saw was the one you guys did with Bendigo band
'Gentle Persuasion' which were a good match.
It's sad that those days are behind us and 'Live' music isn't the
same.
I recently ripped my entire VSpyVSpy Vinyl to High Res DVD quality
(The times have changed) and really can appreciate how good you guys
were.
The 1st 2 LPs are still my fav, Meet Us Inside & Harry's Reasons?
have a certain magic.
Thanks for this website and the great music way back in the 1980s.

found out, when I asked at a JB HIFI store, that all your music is
unavailable, & I thought that\'s not fair, I only have the one
album. I\'ve been looking for \"Trash the Planet\" for some time now
& I see that all your music will become available on your site, for
free, that\'s amazing & it makes me wonder why you would do that?
Don\'t get me wrong, it sounds fantastic to me & I will certainly
appreciate it when it\'s ready. I was lucky enough to see spy vs spy
play at the Panthers Leagues Club in the late 80\'s with a mate &
really had a great time before moving to Perth, which is why I
probably haven\'t heard anything about you guys for 20+ years. Any
chance you might play in Perth in the near/not so near future?
Anyway I wish The band all the best & will be watching your site for

Message: In 1985 I taped \"one of a kind\" off Beat Box onto vhs.
I\'ve been a fan ever since - I was in yr 8 at the time. Only saw
you live 3 times and the best one was in Port MacQuarie about 1992
at the RSL with about 100 people in the crowd on a Friday night.
Great memories and still love your music. Many thanks for making
your music free to download as all my Spies stuff was stolen when a
house I was living in Maryville Newcastle was broken into in 97,
except for xenophobia which was in the car. As a request can you add
Meet us inside to the download list if you get a chance.

you for the music downloads. I have the lp\'s but have never got
around to getting them on cd. (I hope you can make the Ep avalible
too:) I had forgotten how much I liked the music having not listen
to it for quite a while.
One of my best friends Warren Glover was a huge fan from Tassie. I
dont know if you remember him. He must of seen you guys live at
least 50 times and I believe he hung out with too, on occasions. He
also took some great live photos.
I think I only saw you twice,once at the Red Lyon in Hobart(1990 or
91) and the other in Sydney in either 88 or 89. I cant remember the
name of the place in Sydney, it was near bondi I think, had a high
stage that\'s all I remember.
Anyway thanks again, look forward to the other albums and a reunion
album!!! ( I wont hold my breath for that one LOL) Cheers guys!!

back in early 80\'s. I have seen you play 3 times, once in Richmond
N.S.W and at the New Castle earth quake concert and last in Cairns,
where I was fortunate to meet you back stage. I sat on the stage all
that last gig I saw you. I was one happy girl. I so wish I could see
you\'s play again. I get annoyed at how little you guys are
mentioned in the Oz music industry as you\'s are such fantastic
musicians. You deserve high recognition and to be up there like the
oils and all the others. But your music will stay alive in my house
forever, even my kids and partner love your music too. So here\'s to
good quality rock. Your music will never die. Long live the Spy\'s.
